Member-only Benefits
Promoting Yorkshire Authors is working hard to develop a Yorkshire indie-book network and useful book promotion opportunities for its members. As a member, you'll get access to the following resources, already in place, and any others we develop.
Monthly Marketing Discussions
Each local chapter will structure their meetings differently, however, most will have member or guest presentations of marketing experiences, and book critiquing (critique of your your book as it fits in the marketplace in respect to cover, blurb, title, opening chapter, genre).
Listing of Bio and Books on Website
As a member, you will have a bio page on the website with links to your personal websites and social media, and your books will also be listed on both the bio page and under 'books'.
Access to closed Facebook group for discussions
We have both an open Facebook group (Yorkshire Author Promotions, which is highly recommended to join if you are a Yorkshire author) and a closed Facebook group where members can chat, ask each other questions, share successes and things that were less than successful.
Library Guest Interview (with YouTube and podcast appearance)
Beginning January 27, 2018, Promoting Yorkshire Authors is hosting recorded, public interviews of members (for release on YouTube and the Yorkshire Writer podcast). These will generally take place at regional libraries, with the first one being at Harrogate Library featuring C.L. Spillard being interviewed by Dan Crow.
Ability to Participate in PYA-only Events
Promoting Yorkshire Authors hosts events that bring together people from all over Yorkshire to meet and discuss their books and the indie book scene. These events are open to members and non-members and often involved discussion, showcasing, and sales of books. However, we also host events aimed more at the reading public where only members are able to promote their books.
